Description:
A pleasing 100 square foot display of superbly grown orchids place
around a gently falling water feature, all placed in an idyllic woodland
setting; groups of whites, lavenders, orange and yellow direct the eye to
individual orchids in various sections of the exhibit.

One flat flower on one 11-cm inflorescence; dorsal sepal medium-green, longitudinally
veined darker green, edged white; synsepal light green veined slightly darker green;
exceptionally wide petals chartreuse veined light green, small terminal notch; pouch
uniform yellow-green, staminode yellow; substance firm; texture glossy; asymmetrical
notch of dorsal sepal precluded higher score.

One exceptionally well-formed deeply colored flower and one immature flower on two
32-cm inflorescences; dorsal sepal burgundy veined dark burgundy, more intensely
colored on basal third, 2-mm white edge; synsepal light green centrally, sparsely veined
burgundy, suffused burgundy on outer 1-cm; petals burgundy veined darker burgundy
on superior half, longitudinally stippled dark burgundy along veins on inferior half; pouch
burgundy; substance medium-firm; texture waxy. Awarded for depth of color and
superior form for the cross.
